A downloadable game for Windows

Welcome to the island!

The Island is based on a concept of Cause & Effect by creative director Ruby Myers. the game was developed by third year students at Bath Spa university. The island that the player inhabits has a number of factors that affect it; the environment, food, fresh water and other things. Naturally, not everything will be balanced at all times and the player is given tasks to improve these factors. However some of these tasks, whilst improving some factors, will worsen others. For example, cutting down trees to make new houses increases your housing factor, whilst decreasing the environmental factor. The game is a prototype so we would love any feedback you may have in the comment section below!

Your role:

On the island your help will be needed with clearing the litter from the beach, building new houses, saving the local wildlife and unblocking the river! You will see the results of your actions in real time with the on screen stats. With the sea levels rapidly rising you must carefully decide what you will prioritise as it may become too late to save some parts of the island.

This is a really fun game to play, and with a great message. The sound design really adds to the ambience and I love the soft look, colours and friendly character.
